Introducing SREDA Gateway

SREDA is proud to announce the launch of its newest business expansion initiative, Gateway.

Developed in response to the growing complexity businesses face when navigating regulatory and permitting processes, Gateway is a concierge-style service designed to support new and existing companies expanding in Saskatoon. From navigating through municipal processes and regulatory requirements, all the way to supporting streamlined permit approvals, the program will bring together partners from the City of Saskatoon and project stakeholders early in the development process to create a clear path forward.

“The strength of our local economy depends on the success of businesses choosing to grow here,” said Erin Lawson, CEO of SREDA. “Gateway is about simplifying complex processes, accelerating investment, and ensuring companies have the support they need to expand in Saskatoon. By bringing the right partners to the table early, we’re creating a more efficient and business-friendly environment.”

Eligibility for the program is project-based, with a focus on high-growth businesses operating in the agriculture, mining, manufacturing, or life sciences sectors. Proposed projects must meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Job Creation: Minimum of 10 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions
  • Capital Investment: Minimum investment of $500,000
  • Square Footage: At least 5,000 square feet of new construction or leased space

The service underscores SREDA’s role as a connector and advocate, ensuring companies have the guidance, resources, and relationships needed to move projects forward successfully.
