Your business deserves to SOAR

SOAR is a signature SREDA program offering eligible Indigenous entrepreneurs up to $30K to grow their business.

Program details

  1. Application Round
    Entrepreneurs interested in participating in the program should submit an application. The top 10 applicants will advance to the semi-finals!
  2. Workshops
    The semi-finalists will attend four workshops on a variety of topics to fine-tune their businesses and pitches in preparation for the Semi-Finalist Pitch Round.
  3. Semi-Finalist Pitch Round
    Participants will pitch to a panel of business experts, who will then determine if they move to the Pitch Finale.
  4. Pitch Finale
    The top five finalists will pitch their business to a panel of judges at the SOAR Pitch Finale. The judges will then select the winner(s) of the cash prize totalling $30K.

New this year – The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce will award $7,500 worth of credits to selected winner(s) to be used towards Chamber member services helping grow their business!

Eligibility

  • Business located in the Saskatoon Region
  • At least 51% Indigenous-owned
  • Independently owned, operated and created by the entrepreneur
  • Age 18+
  • 1 – 10 employees
  • Business must be in operation for 2 years or more
  • Must meet or be in the process of meeting all regulatory requirements by law
  • Proof of Ancestry is required
  • Businesses that have received cash prizes from the SOAR program in the past are not eligible
