SOAR Pitch Finale
Date
Originally launched in 2022, SOAR Indigenous Entrepreneurship Competition began as a regional initiative supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs in the Saskatoon area. Through business development, mentorship, networking, and a pitch competition, the program quickly demonstrated the impact of investing in Indigenous entrepreneurship. Since its inception, SOAR has awarded $140,000 in prize funding to help Indigenous entrepreneurs grow and strengthen their businesses.
This year, SOAR is entering an exciting new chapter. Delivered through SREDA’s entrepreneurship program, SK Startup Institute, in partnership with Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT), the program has expanded across Saskatchewan. With the support of the Greg Yuel Fellowship, the prize fund has also increased to $50,000, creating more opportunities for Indigenous entrepreneurs to build and grow their businesses.
Taking place on October 21, 2026, at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, the SOAR Pitch Finale brings together the top five Indigenous entrepreneurs, selected through earlier rounds of pitching and development workshops, to present their business ideas to a panel of judges in front of a live audience. This event celebrates Indigenous innovation and entrepreneurship, while offering a unique platform to build meaningful connections and support the continued growth of Indigenous entrepreneurship across the province.
