At the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA), we are proud to recognize the individuals who make a lasting impact on our region through leadership, vision, and service. Our annual awards honour those who contribute meaningfully to economic development and community growth across the Saskatoon Region.
Wanda Hunchak Leadership Award
This annual award celebrates emerging leaders who are passionate advocates for the Saskatoon Region business community and demonstrate strong volunteerism through their service on local boards. Named in honour of Wanda Hunchak, who served on the SREDA Board of Directors for over eight years, including as Chair and Vice Chair, this award recognizes the next generation of leaders who share her commitment to entrepreneurship, economic development, and community-building.
Bruce Richet Award
The Bruce Richet Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing regional economic development. Established in 2016, the award honours the legacy of Bruce Richet, who served on the SREDA Board beginning in 1995 and provided over two decades of leadership on the SREDA Regional Committee. The award is presented to individuals whose collaborative spirit and practical expertise make a significant and lasting difference in communities across the Saskatoon Region.
