Saskatoon is one of the sunniest places in Canada, with an average of 2,268 hours of sunlight each year! We have four distinct seasons – spring, summer, fall and winter – and our temperatures range from highs of 30°C in the summer months to -30°C in the winter.
There is nothing better than summertime in Saskatoon! The weather is usually warm and dry, making it the perfect time of year to be outside, whether it’s at one of our many playgrounds, or catching up with friend on a patio.
Yes, our winters can be cold, but with plenty of sunshine, low humidity levels and an abundant amount of snow you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities (just be sure to bundle up!).

You can kayak, canoe or paddle board down the South Saskatchewan River, which runs through the Saskatoon core, and check out fantastic view. Or hit up the Meewasin trail and walk, bike or run the more than 60 kilometres of trail that flanks each side of the river.
There are nearly 50 distinct neighbourhoods in Saskatoon that offer residents urban, artisan, trendy and even small-town experiences.
