Hinge Designs expansion to bring jobs, investment, and innovation to Saskatoon’s manufacturing sector

SREDA is proud to celebrate the growth of Hinge Designs, a locally owned manufacturing company that is expanding its operations in Saskatoon’s north end.

With the support of the City of Saskatoon’s Business Development Incentive, facilitated by SREDA, Hinge Designs is making a significant investment that will support Saskatoon’s growing housing and residential construction sectors.

Specializing in high-quality custom cabinetry for residential development, Hinge Designs has grown from a small local business into a thriving operation that employs 25 people and serves a diverse mix of clients, from individual homeowners to large-scale multi-family developers. Their new $5.5 million expansion project will nearly triple their production capacity and increase their full-time workforce by over 30%, creating 8 new permanent jobs.

The company’s 22,000 sq. ft. facility expansion will not only enhance their ability to meet rising demand for locally made cabinetry but will also allow them to implement advanced manufacturing technologies, increasing productivity and operational efficiency.

Construction on the new facility is expected to begin early summer 2025, with full operations anticipated by spring 2026.
