About the Position
SREDA is seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of Specialist, Investment Attraction. Under the direction of the Director, Investment Attraction, this individual will assist in the promotion and coordination of key strategic programs and initiatives to drive investment into the Saskatoon Region, fostering job creation and industry growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SREDA’s investment attraction programs through identifying, engaging and supporting businesses in their investment, relocation or expansion into the Saskatoon Region.
- Support the organization on national/international investment attraction missions.
- Assist in the identification and management of lead generation activities and strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with businesses, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities and coordinate growth pathways for qualified businesses.
- Collaborate on the development and delivery of tailored resources and solutions that encourage growth and promote the Saskatoon Region as the optimal location to do business.
- Conduct initial research on market opportunities, funding and incentive programs, regulatory and permitting considerations, and other client-specific requirements.
- Assist with the creation and execution of targeted outreach strategies, including direct engagement, networking, presentations and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of regional, national, and global business trends and local ecosystem needs to help identify opportunities and risks.
- Track program participation, gather feedback from businesses, and assist in reporting program impact and success.
- Support internal coordination, including meeting logistics, documentation, and program administration.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, economics or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, economic development, or a related field within Saskatoon’s key industries (particularly manufacturing and/or mining).
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of economic development practices, key sectors, FDI and trade strategies, and regional growth trends is an asset.
- Interpersonal: Strong ability to engage and build positive relationships with businesses, stakeholders and community partners.
- Communication: Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
- Organizational: Highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Other: Class 5 driver’s license as some travel may be required. Ability to travel by air to domestic or international locations.

Under the direction of the Director, Business Expansion, this individual will assist in the promotion and coordination of key strategic programs and initiatives to drive local business expansion, prosperity and collaboration across the Saskatoon Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SREDA’s business expansion programs through identifying, engaging and supporting businesses ready to scale their operations within the Saskatoon Region.
- Serve as a trusted key point of contact for businesses utilizing SREDA’s business expansion services, providing guidance and timely follow-up.
- Assist with the development and delivery of tailored resources and solutions that encourage growth, retention, and long-term success for local businesses.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with businesses, municipal partners, and industry stakeholders to support growth and investment in Saskatoon.
- Conduct initial research on market opportunities, funding and incentive programs, regulatory and permitting considerations, and other client-specific requirements.
- Assist with the creation and execution of targeted outreach strategies, including direct engagement, networking, presentations and promotional initiatives.
