Fallon’s Farewell to SREDA: New Year, New Changes, and the End of an Era

Eight years ago, the Board of Directors appointed me as SREDA’s CEO. The mandate set by the Board was to create “a new chapter of success for SREDA.”

Today, I am stepping up to a new challenge and stepping down as SREDA’s CEO – effective January 13. This was not an easy decision to make; however, after eight years I believe now is the perfect time to hand over the reins and take on my next adventure.

Since 2014, SREDA has won multiple municipal, provincial, national and international economic development awards – firmly placing SREDA as one of the best economic development agencies in Canada.

We’ve had success in attracting new businesses to Saskatoon, supported record levels of business expansions and helped hundreds of entrepreneurs establish a business in Saskatchewan.

In my mind, it’s a case of mission accomplished.

I know SREDA has the right team, leadership, and Board in place to continue to succeed.

As I approach my last day at SREDA, I’ll be taking a moment to savour the last eight years. I’ll miss the team and all the amazing people I’ve had a chance to work with – and I’ll take with me so many amazing memories.

I’ll be signing up for the NEWSflash and look forward to watching SREDA’s next chapter of success from afar.

It’s time for me to climb another mountain…Thank you, Alex

“On behalf of the SREDA Board, I want to extend our thanks to Alex for his leadership over the past eight years. It has been a successful period for the organization. SREDA has a solid foundation and is well positioned for continued success. We wish Alex all the best with his new challenge,” Cam Broten, Chair, SREDA Board of Directors.
