YANKE GROUP OF COMPANIES NAMED NORTH AMERICA’s TOP 20 ‘BEST FLEETS TO DRIVE FOR’
Yanke receives this esteemed award for the third consecutive year & is one of two Canadian companies to do so.
The Yanke Group of Companies, a leading global transportation company, founded and headquartered in Saskatchewan, is proud to announce that they have been selected as one of North America’s top 20 ‘Best Fleets to Drive For’ as declared by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). 2011 marks the third consecutive award for Yanke since the inauguration of this award in 2009; Yanke is also one of two Canadian companies to receive the award for three consecutive years. Each year the award identifies North American for-hire trucking companies that provide the best workplace experiences for their drivers.

The extensive nomination process interviews company drivers, owner operators, human resource representatives and executives on a wide range of categories, such as: total compensation package (including base pay, bonuses, vacation and sick days); health benefits; pension plans; professional development and career development opportunities; the company’s commitment to personal growth, work-life balance, driver family support and employee directed charitable contributions; overall commitment to continuous improvement; driver community development activities; annual driver turnover and the fleet’s safety record.

Yanke has invested resources and dollars into the continual improvement of the PTO experience. With such initiatives like guaranteed home time, paid weather delays, online training, state-of-the-art GPS systems in all trucks and award ceremonies to acknowledge professional achievements. One of the most outstanding programs Yanke has initiated is their safety awareness program, called ‘Be the One’. Since incorporating the program in 2009, Yanke has an impressive 48.50% reduction in overall accident costs. We continue to experienced significant reductions in both non-preventable and preventable collisions. The ‘Be the One’ initiative is our commitment to making the roads a safer place for all of road users.
