  • Phase 1 of a 50 metre Blairmore Suburban Centre Pool with fitness centre and walking track is projected to be completed by fall 2007, with Phase 2 by 2009.

  • There are many outdoor public tennis courts managed by the City of Saskatoon as well as two private tennis clubs with indoor facilities.
Organized Programs
  • Children/Youth – 2,200 programs run out of the civic centres
  • Adults – 300 programs ran out of the civic centres
Proximity to fishing areas
Saskatchewan has over 100,000 lakes, rivers and streams. As a central point in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon is within a 200km (120 miles) radius of a majority of the fishing areas in Saskatchewan. Within the city, the South Saskatchewan River contains walleye, the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo has a stocked fishing pond, and the nearby Blackstrap Provincial Park has a lake well endowed with fish.
 
National and Provincial parks
  • Prince Albert National Park is 250km (150 miles) north of Saskatoon via                Highways 11 and 2.
    • Encompassing nearly 1,000,000 acres (400,000 hectares), you can combine northern wilderness encounters with the comfort of a lakeside resort. Enjoy hiking, beautiful beaches, tons of water activities, golf, and historic tours.
  • Two provincial parks are located within a 30 minute drive from Saskatoon.
