There is over 6,000,000 square feet of office space in the City of Saskatoon, with 53% of the inventory located in the downtown core. On a city-wide basis, office vacancy decreased from the 6.1% in 2007 to the current estimate of 5.6%. Vacancy in the downtown office market dropped by a full three percentage points, from 8.2% in January 2007 to 5.2%.
Face rates in the suburban market tend to be at similar levels as the central core buildings, primarily the $6.00 per square foot to $15.00 per square foot range.
